With the strong support of Baosteel, the project gathers innovative wisdom, explores and practices diversified production design strategies for automotive lightweight panels, provides solid support for achieving automotive lightweight, improving fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, and accurately meets the urgent needs of green and low-carbon development. After the careful preparation and unremitting efforts of the project team, the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in September, marking that Zhanjiang Steel will enter a new stage of mass and stable production of high-performance aluminum-silicon thermoforming materials.

The aluminum-silicon thermoforming material technology renovation project is a major innovation in the production process and technology of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Cold Rolling Plant. Since the project started in the beginning of 2024, the cold rolling mill has adhered to the concept of "precise planning, pre-preparation, full staff training, elite, benchmarking, reward and punishment", and strives to build the project into a benchmark "new production line" of excellent quality. In the process of project advancement, the two-wheel drive of equipment upgrading and technological innovation has realized the seamless docking and deep integration of process and technology.

Baosteel closely coordinated, in-depth system reliability analysis, overcome key core technology difficulties; Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Manufacturing Management Department and cold rolling plant carefully control the core parameters, optimize the production process, and explore the best path in the delicate balance between technical transformation and production.

The joint efforts and unremitting exploration of the project team not only forged the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the team, but also opened up a number of innovation paths and accumulated rich and valuable practical experience. Through the research and development and application of cutting-edge technologies, Zhanjiang Steel continues to improve product performance and promote high-end products to a higher level.
