Chinese Exhibitors Are Starting To Make Their Mark at FABTECH - A Record for FABTECH 2024

The annual American Sheet Metal Tube Forming and Welding Joint Surface Treatment exhibition (FABTECH 2024) has just come to an end, while the memory is still fresh, I plan to organize the information learned during the three days of the exhibition and share it with you recently in the form of a short article.

FABTECH is the largest exhibition in the field of sheet metal pipe processing in North America, sponsored by the Precision Metal Forming Association (PMA), the Sheet Metal and Fabrication Association (FMA), the American Welding Society (AWS), the American Surface Treatment Association (CCAI), and the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

The exhibition covers plate, pipe, wire, profile processing technology and equipment, It mainly includes stamping equipment, coil and bending equipment, laser cutting and welding equipment, plasma and water jet cutting equipment, pipe bending equipment, pipe hydroforming equipment, roll forming equipment, sawing equipment, welding and connection equipment, surface treatment equipment and die, raw materials, control systems, safety equipment, computer-aided software, automation equipment and robots and other products.

FABTECH 2024 will be held in Orlando, USA, with a total of more than 1,500 exhibitors. According to my rough statistics, there are nearly 150 Chinese exhibitors in this exhibition, which is close to 10% of the total number of exhibitors and has begun to play an increasingly important role. Among them, there are about 60 ~ 70 Chinese exhibitors of plate, pipe, profile, wire material and forming (namely stamping, sheet metal and production), mainly distributed in the north and south exhibition halls (referred to as the Forming Hall), while there are about 70 ~ 80 Chinese exhibitors of welding connection and spraying coating, mainly distributed in the West Hall (referred to as the welding hall).

From the quantity point of view, the Chinese exhibitors of welding connection and spraying coating are more than stamping, sheet metal and production, but from the size of the booth, there is a gap. Welding connection and spraying coating Chinese exhibitors are mostly small booths, compared with other overseas exhibitors in the welding hall, it is still relatively "thin".

In the forming hall, there are a number of Chinese exhibitors with a larger booth, such as Hongshan, Bond, Dazu, Yawei, Huagong, Lixing, Songgu, Pentium, Hongniu, Parkson, etc., although compared with some international giants, there is still a certain gap, but it has been able to support the scene, emerging, for China's stamping sheet metal on the world stage under a strong pen!
