At 18:00 on March 15, China Baowu Zhanjiang Steel Plate Factory 2025 annual repair heat test achieved a complete success. This 30-day annual repair and transformation not only opened up the process channel of extra-thick plate products, but also laid a solid foundation for subsequent production through systematic equipment upgrading. This annual renovation covers the upgrading of equipment such as secondary tangential and heating furnace area roller table, transmission motor, slab transversal device, as well as high-pressure water phosphorus removal device and the transformation of roughing mill roller table.

Since the operation in 2016, the project team has adhered to the principle of "centralized planning and step-by-step implementation", and completed the localization upgrade of the full-line variable frequency transmission system for ten years under the premise of ensuring the stable operation of the production line. The transformation makes full use of the original equipment frame, and effectively controls the investment cost by optimizing the design scheme.
