On February 11, CCTV's "News of the World" column reported on China First Heavy. At the beginning of the New Year, China First Heavy, located in Fularji District of Qiqihar City, an old industrial base in northeast China, has begun to work. More than 20 meters high calciner burning, a weight of 700 tons of nuclear power equipment out.

CCTV reporter Gu Junling: Here is the forging workshop of major equipment. Although it is a biting cold wind outside the window of minus 20 or 30 degrees Celsius, the workshop is a bustling scene. Behind me, the world's largest mass production of steel ingot forging is slowly out of the oven, its temperature reached more than 1200 degrees Celsius, 20 or 30 meters away I can feel its rolling heat wave. It is mainly used to manufacture the rotor, the most critical component of the nuclear power unit, which is also their first nuclear power rotor forgings this year. This behemoth weighs as much as 170 elephants, and its manufacturing challenge is to forge it in one piece. It requires the largest ingot, the largest blank weight, the largest cross-section size, the core technical requirements are very strict. Just like a room of 10 square meters, it is not allowed to have defects as large as small grains of rice. Only the heating link before forging requires a high temperature of more than 1200 degrees Celsius for 3 days, and after the oven, it is also subjected to a 15,000-ton giant forging press to repeatedly forge like kneading, ensuring that the performance indicators such as the density of the internal and external materials meet the requirements.

Wang Lizhong, director of the casting process room of China's heavy casting and forging steel Division: Its large is not only reflected in the weight and shape of the large, it is more important to reflect in the internal quality. Just like when we knead dough, it is difficult to knead it from the inside out into a uniform material. Now China First Heavy has fully mastered the technology. At present, only two companies in the world can produce such a huge nuclear power equipment. Breakthroughs in key technologies have also ushered in market recognition. Through management improvement and process optimization, the forging cycle of the product is shortened from the original 45 days to about 30 days, the efficiency is increased by 30%, and the cost is also greatly reduced.
