Beijing, August 28, 2024 – In the realm of advanced manufacturing, precision control technology is a key indicator of a nation's industrial prowess. For years, China has faced significant constraints in strategic emerging industries such as aerospace and new energy vehicles due to limitations in high-end numerical control (CNC) systems. However, with the unveiling of domestically produced five-axis CNC systems, this scenario is rapidly changing.

Huazhong Numerical Control (HNC), a leading brand in domestic high-end CNC systems, has focused on meeting national strategic needs by conducting original and pioneering scientific research. HNC has achieved significant breakthroughs in core technologies previously constrained by foreign monopolies, successfully developing the "HNC-8" series of high-end CNC systems. By the end of 2022, the HNC-8 mid-to-high-end CNC systems had sold nearly 150,000 units and were in use at over 2,000 enterprises. Notably, HNC has collaborated with Huagong Laser to achieve mass production of five-axis CNC systems for 3D laser cutting machines.

In April 2024, HNC will host a product launch event featuring presentations from leading users such as Shandong Haomi Machine Tool and Jilin Jitong. These companies will share insights into the development process, performance, and application effects of the new CNC systems, especially in emerging sectors like new energy vehicles, mold making, and medical devices.

According to unconfirmed reports, China has reportedly cut orders for Japanese CNC machines by CNY 100 billion.
