In order to fully implement the spirit of the second strategic seminar of FAW Casting and Forging in 2024 and ensure the achievement of the annual business objectives, FAW Casting and Forging Tianjin Parts Company fully accelerated, overcome difficulties, successfully completed the transformation of the crankshaft production line, and BYD 472QA crankshaft successfully reached production.
In order to ensure the demand of BYD customers' crankshaft products and rapidly improve the production line capacity, Tianjin Parts Company organized the backbone of party members in various fields to set up a project team to carry out project research, conducted multiple rounds of analysis and judgment for the problems that restrict the transformation of BYD's crankshaft production line and achieve mass production, and formulated effective measures one by one. Faced with a series of challenges such as tight tasks and short construction periods, the backbone of the party members brainstorming and repeated discussions decided to transform an YNC machining center of the original connecting rod production line OP20B. Through several program optimization, tool trial cutting, and center roller debugging, the project team effectively improved the frequent problems of iron filings and tool punching after machining of OP40 sequence CNC lathe, and realized that the processing time of single crankshaft was increased from 120 seconds to 85 seconds, and the improved machining quality was stable and the machining accuracy of shaft diameter met the requirements of product standards. With the unremitting efforts of the project team, the transformation work of the crankshaft production line was fully completed in late October.
The independent transformation of the crankshaft production line through the optimization of processing parameters and the improvement of automatic machining efficiency of the machine tool, solved 25 quality problems such as the instability of the OP120 sequence measuring instrument, the abnormal size of the OP10A sequence positioning surface and corner processing, optimized 15 sets of equipment, and saved more than 2.6 million yuan. Up to now, the crankshaft production line has been successfully mass produced and reached the stage target of 400 pieces per day of BYD 472QA crankshaft.
In the next step, Tianjin Parts Company will further optimize the processing technology of crankshaft products, continue to improve the production tempo and work efficiency, challenge the target of 600 crankshaft daily beats, poor quality and zero defects after the project, and strive to meet customer needs and sprint the annual target.
